Very early French oak blanket chest. It is handsomely carved in two panels with center swirls and with stars in each corner. It is not too large and could fit anywhere - in a hall with a cushion, at the end of a bed, or on any wall. It is a wonderful early example of great carving and design with simple rounded feet.
